All Hallows Prep School

All Hallows is a school radiating warmth and vibrancy. At the heart is a vision aimed at nurturing each individual and developing the 'whole child' through cutting edge education and rich and varied experiences and opportunities. This unique school provides a secure and happy environment where children develop the inner confidence, independence and resilience necessary to flourish in a rapidly changing world.

It is known nationally as one of the leading boarding and day, fully independent preparatory schools for boys and girls aged 3 to 13 and was rated as Outstanding across all areas of the school in July 2014 by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Situated in 25 acres surrounded by open countryside and farmland, the school is close to the major cities of Bath, Wells and Bristol and is just an hour and a half from London on the train.

Boarding at All Hallows is a real 'home from home' experience. All of the dormitories are located in the main manor house where open fires, comfy sitting rooms and the sweeping staircase provide a real sense of warmth. Three resident families live on site and take care of the children along with a team of resident GAP students and specialist staff. Children are exceptionally happy boarding at All Hallows and have an enormous range of activities and opportunities.

Creativity is the heartbeat of All Hallows and the school is known for leading the way on a number of initiatives within the Prep school sector. All Hallows was an early adopter of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) which is taught with great success in the Junior Department. Thematic learning and innovative curriculum ideas pervade throughout the school. Music, Art and Performing Arts are a great strength of the school and a new Creative Centre opened in September 2014 further enhancing the opportunities. The Saturday Enrichment Programme is also a unique – encouraging the children to move out of their comfort zones and try a range of experiences such as the Exmoor Youth Challenge, Sports Leaders Awards, Music Production with professional Musicians, Digital Photography, Animation and much more.
Academic Success from Individualised Learning

All Hallows is non selective on entry and very proud of the resulting outcomes for children leaving at Year 8. Each year, approximately 60% of children receive awards to senior schools – Academic, Sport, Music, Drama and All Rounder Awards. All pupils gain entry to their first choice Senior School. Being an independent Preparatory school means that staff are well placed to work in partnership with parents to find the right Senior School for transfer at 13. Relationships with Senior Schools are excellent and they value All Hallows pupils highly.
All Hallows has an Education Psychologist as Director of Learning which drives the very child centred approach to learning and subsequent high results.

Sport & The Great Outdoors
All Hallows punches above its weight in terms of Sport nationally within the Independent Schools sector thanks to a large, specialist team of coaches and a wide range of opportunities. There is an extensive outdoor education programme on offer and pupils benefit immensely from the on-site 9 acre Forest School.
