Reddam House is re-defining education in the UK with a unique philosophy and formula for success. Reddam House, Berkshire is the flagship Reddam House Group school, recently launched in the UK in September 2015. A leading co-educational independent through-school for girls and boys from three months to 18 years, Reddam House is housed in a magnificent mansion house. Set in 120 acres of rolling parkland near Wokingham the school is located in Berkshire with easy access to the M3, M4, Heathrow and London.
Founded by inspirational educationalist Graeme Crawford, Reddam House Group has achieved singular success in two continents to date. We top the league tables in South Africa and are in the top ten schools in Australia and are set to replicate this success in the UK. This ambition is being led by Dr Stephen Spurr, appointed as Managing Director of Reddam House Europe and who, as headmaster of Westminster School, turned it into the top performing school in the country.
The unique Reddam House philosophy and formula for success are based to a large degree on the quality and depth of our curricula, cultural and sporting activities and especially our teaching staff. We fully recognise that what goes on in the classroom between teacher and student strongly influences the success of a school. Academically, our approach is to handpick the top teacher for every subject. The right teacher will inspire and motivate children, whether in the classroom, on the sports field or on the stage to ensure that each and every child reaches their potential.
To this end, every Reddam House pupil learns an instrument and performs in an ensemble, there is an emphasis on dance, which has led to some monumental ballet productions, and sport is taken very seriously.
The Reddam philosophy believes that school should not differ too much from the world outside, so all the Reddam House schools are co-educational, with a flexible uniform and a lively campus life. Our fresh and vibrant approach contrasts with many more traditional educational establishments.
The Early Learning, Junior and Senior Schools of Reddam House are housed in different parts of the estate, giving children a feeling of separation from each other and allowing a sense of progression as they move up.
Importantly, being part of the Reddam House Group allows mobile parents to move around the world without disrupting their children's education and pupils themselves have an enviable chance to transfer between different schools. What an exciting way this is to prepare children to be the global citizens of tomorrow.
