Epsom College is one of the UK's leading independent, fully co-educational, boarding and day schools for pupils aged between 13 and 18. Founded in 1853 as the Royal Medical Benevolent College by Dr John Propert, who raised funds to build a foundation to help orphans and widows of members of the medical profession, the College was granted royal patronage by Her Majesty Queen Victoria in 1855 and today has Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as its patron.

The magnificent original College buildings are set in an 84-acre estate on Epsom Downs, a stone's throw from the Epsom Racecourse, home of the world famous Derby. The College benefits from its close location to London, being inside the M25 yet only 30 minutes by train to central London. Both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are within easy reach and the M25 and M23 motorways are close by. Though renowned for educating students into the fields of medicine, science, economics and law and for producing large numbers of able students who go on to pursue medical and business careers, Epsom College prides itself on delivering an all-round education and learning experience, where students thrive in an environment of intellectual energy, balanced by an unrivalled range of co-curricular activities.

The school has a history of high academic achievement and an impressive track record of overseas pupils continuing their education in the UK at top Russell Group universities. Pastoral care is of the highest possible standard. The House system is at the heart of life at Epsom, where dialogue with parents is paramount to provide the best possible educational experience. Each of the 12 Houses has a dedicated team of staff and every pupil benefits from the care of a Housemaster or Housemistress, a Matron and a personal tutor. All Boarding Houses provide modern living spaces and amenities, with Housemasters and Housemistresses living in with their families to provide a 'home from home' environment.

The Chapel of St Luke is central to spiritual life and reflection at the College, which has a strong Christian tradition that expresses itself in regular worship. Pupils of all faiths are welcome, however, and the atmosphere of the school is one of inclusiveness and community. Historically, all beneficiaries from the medical profession, who needed financial support for their education, were educated at Epsom College and were known as "Foundationers".

The Royal Medical Foundation (RMF) continues to play an active part in the College community, perpetuating the vision of the Founder and reflecting the community values that were originally established. Epsom is proud of its heritage, but is also looking to the future. The importance that it attaches to internationalism is reflected in the establishment of a sister school in Malaysia scheduled to open in 2014.
