La Petite Ecole Bilingue/ Stewart International School is a long established language specialist school for children aged 2 to 11. We teach our pupils both the English and French national curricula in full, in a homely, caring and supportive environment. Each class has two well-qualified teachers, one English one French, as well as teaching assistants in both languages to enable differentiation within the class. Small groups and one to one sessions are used to tailor our programme to each child.

Small class sizes combined with a personalised teaching from our dedicated and experienced staff prepare our children well for the 7+ and 11+ exams, giving them solid academic foundations in both systems and languages to transfer seamlessly and with confidence to either a British secondary school, a French Lycée or an International school.

With 40 years of experience in the field of bilingual education, we have developed a broad, lively and efficient teaching programme, which draws on the strengths and richness of the French and British traditions. Our core curriculum is enriched by a range of specialist taught subjects, including latin, music theory, choir, debate, ICT, arts, drama, Russian (optional) and a variety of sports (tennis, rugby, swimming, dance, gymnastics). We offer a range of after-school clubs (ballet, chess, coding, Russian, Arabic, piano, guitar, drawing, engineering).

Our ambitious bilingual curriculum by its very nature requires that our pupils be organised, focused and pursue the highest of standards and we strive to promote these good learning habits from a young age. Not only do our children learn to speak both French and English fluently, they also broaden their cultural horizon and become resilient learners who aspire to reach their full potential.

Our campuses in central London (Notting Hill and West Hampstead), Paris and Bordeaux are conveniently located so that we make full use of the art galleries, theaters, concerts, parks, museums and historic locations these cities have to offer. We provide fresh homemade food cooked daily in our kitchens. We welcome children from all nationalities, already speaking English and/or French as well as those who wish to acquire these two languages.
